Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (Spain)

The Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) is a technological centre that studies the behavior of the human body and its interaction with products, environments and services. The beginning of its activities date back to 1976, but currently IBV is coordinated under the agreement of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

With the aim to improve competitiveness among the business sector, the IBV promotes people’s well-being through the combination of knowledge in areas such as biomechanics, ergonomics and emotional engineering, and its application to diverse sectors.

Bachelor of Medicine in 2003. Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation performed viaMIR (4 years) in Virgen del Rocío University Hospital of Seville from 08/06/2015 to 11/10/16. Master’s Degree in Pain Treatment from the University of Seville. III Edition; First online Master Course on Conservative Treatment of Spinal Deformities (ISICO) 2016. Professional experience as a Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Manises Hospital (Valencia) from06/08/2015 to 11/10/16. From October 2016 to the present is part of the Biomechanical Assessment Service of the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia,with experience as a researcher and in biomechanical evaluation.

Post: Innovation Manager.

BSc in Education and MSc in Human Resource Management, is Innovation Manager in the Market Development Area of IBV. She closely collaborates on the management, coordination and dissemination of national as well as international projects carried out by IBV, being specialised in projects focused on training and knowledge transference. She participates in the management of Virtual Campus IBV, including contents management, courses promotion and coordination of users and activities of the courses.

PhD University of Valencia. He currently works as director of Technology Services of the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia, where research work has developed since 2002. Research Interests: Biomechanical evaluation of human activities in the areas of rehabilitation and personal autonomy,occupational health and physical activity and sport.

She has been working at the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV) as an Innovation Manager ever since2007. Currently she develops her job in the MarketDevelopment Area, within the IBV. She closely collaborates on the management, coordination and dissemination of the vast majority of national as well as international proposals carried out by theIBV. She has a degree in Risk Prevention in the Workplace and has specialized in the Laboral Health Area.

She has a wide experience in functional assessment, participating in national and European research founded projects. Her main specialty is in relation to the use of biomechanical instrumentation for functional assessment including gait and balance.

María José Vivas Broseta is PhD in Legal Medicine by the University of Valencia (2014), Information Schience Degree by Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (2006), Higher Diploma in Clinical Research by the School Valencian Studies in Health of the Generalitat Valenciana, EVES (2000) and Physical Therapy Degree by Universidad de Valencia. Complements her training with postgraduate courses on various topics and a specialization scholarship at the Institute of  mBiomechanics of Valencia, IBV (97-99). Works in the field of orthopedics (99-2002), as a profesor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health of the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (2000-2001) and the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Valencia (2001- 2004). Rejoins the IBV in 2002. He has directed and worked on projects of national and European research, it has been involved in national and international scientific dissemination and has published chapters and articles in scientific international publications, all related to the biomechanical assessment. He is currently Head of Biomechanics Rating in Area R & D IBV and professor in the Master of Clinical Biomechanics evaluation of the Polytechnic  University of Valencia.

Physical Therapist from the University of Valenciaand coach biomechanical assessment at the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia since 2009. I developed my work experience in the fields of physiotherapy care partners to the private sphere,in the environment of mutual occupational accident, occupational centers and within the elite sport.

Research interests: Functional Assessment, Assessment Clinical biomechanics, sports biomechanics, human motion analysis.
